Stratejays Marketing is the advertising agency formed by Professor Kendrick’s Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communications class. They are currently taking part in the Peer2Peer Challenging Extremism Competition, a campaign which aims to combat violent extremism in the age of social media. In partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the students are working towards countering violent extremist ideology, propaganda, and recruitment with positive narrative. The class will utilize the power of social media to effectively challenge extremist rhetoric and in turn, counter hate and violent extremism from all over the world. In providing an alternative to violence, this campaign will also provide an educational component for addressing the need for inclusion in today’s society.
